Golden Eagles in Southern California: History, Flight Patterns, and Impacts of Urbanization

Dr. Robert Fisher was asked to help develop a Golden Eagle research program in 2014. To date, his team has captured 49 eagles in southern California and generated new data critical for management of this species within the ecoregion. His talk will review what is currently known about Golden Eagles in southern California including the new data being generated by his lab and risk factors to eagle survivorship.

Many of these species are uniquely specialized to their desert surroundings, but they are also imperiled by warming temperatures and other global changes.
